Where does all the time go?!

When you're younger, all you have to worry about is going to school, coming home to play, quick do chores before mom and dad get home!
And doing it all over again the next day.

I always wanted to be independent and "grown up". When I turned 16 I got my first job at Wendy's. My first day my dad told me this is your first day of a real job for the rest of your life. I rolled my eyes and continued visioning the dollar signs I was ready to have on my own. Wendy's didn't last long, wasn't my thing. Neither did justice for girls. I got an administrative job right away and it fit perfectly. When I turned 18 I thought I was plenty old and moved to California with my boyfriend.

From there I decided I was going to become a pharmacy tech, my days were school from 6-10am then work from 11-9 pm. Never bothered me one bit.

Now I'm married, I have a beautiful home my husband is my best friend, and our doxie is my world. I work in a hospital inpatient pharmacy as the controlled substance technician. My job is very busy and very detailed oriented. Plus i decided to go back to school for cosmetology. So work from 630-300 then school 5-10pm

Similar schedule but TEN times harder!
0 time to have a decent shower, house is always messy, my husband misses me as I do him, and my doxie favors my husband! I don't get to study because work is so busy, and I make mistakes at work because I have 0 extra time to get things done.

When do you throw in the towel ? When do you say enough is enough ?

Tattoos

I have a love for tattoos.
I do not wish to be covered from head to toe, but I do want a few more.
And I can't wait for my husband to have a sleeve.. 💋❤️
Placement is everything, make sure when you plan for permanent artwork; and I say permanent because getting a tattoo removed sounds expensive and I've heard it's twice as painful. That it is exactly where you want and you can't picture anything else in that spot.
Make sure you love your artist and are 100% comfortable with them. Do your research!
This is what I think I'm getting next!

Storage shed adventure

So this one time we were offered a 12X12 shed for free. We just had to take it away.
We decided not to take it apart, so we used camper jacks to lift the whole thing up, cut holes in the floor for wheel wells and off we went.

Ask me if I felt a little redneck... Or whiskey is what we call it..

I'm dying of laughter even writing about this!

The best part was putting it in our backyard
Using the trust steed ol' whyllis we were able to put it right in the corner of the backyard.

This bed.

When I first moved into cases house his mattress was on the floor. My bed was a queen and that was a no go for two people.

He was given a solid oak king size bed long before but never had the time to work on it. It's been attempted but didn't get very far the first time. I decided it was going to be my first project for the home.
The bed was already apart in pieces so I  would grab a little at a time, sand them all down and prep for paint.
Pretty sure my favorite color is black. Or I just love cool tones.

The finished product was so worth all of this hard work. When we put the bed back together we didn't add all of the pieces. It had a vanity thing where a head board would be which would add a nice touch to my 70's style home but I decided to change it.

Itching for wheeling

With all the home projects and wedding planning we have not been able to go wheeling in what seems like forever.! When you have that one favorite pass time where it doesn't matter what you look like where your at and sometimes what's going on around you, your mind is able to be released and trail off. That's me in our buggy.
It makes me so happy! Even working on it, driving it, everything about it. ❤️❤️❤️

Engagements, embrace the rain

Case and I got engaged November of '14. We knew we wanted a summer wedding so we had some time to plan. We scheduled our engagements for May, to get through the winter and have some color in our photos.
We seemed to have planned everything in the weirdest unpredictable year of weather. Utah is Utah so I'm not to surprised, but I thought we would be good in May for engagements. Every day the week of I checked the weather, RAIN! No this is not happening! I just want everything to be perfect.
It was ❤️
We embraced the rain! Everything from inside and out turned out miraculous.
Lisa Sweeney was our photographer, I absolutely love her work.❤️❤️

home project

My now husband bought our house before we were dating. It was built in 1976 and definitely showed 70's style. From bright orange walls to porn star yellow counter tops. It was ew.

I had to borrow some before photos from a real estate website found from google.

Shortly after he purchased this little love nest I came along. Ill share how we met and all that fun stuff in future posts.
Anyways I instantly got the craftiness itch and began slowly changing the look of the house.

I started with minor things, like painting, drywall repair, dishwasher and disposal. You get the idea. Im not joking when I say we had a BRIGHT ORANGE WALL. Of course the realtor did not take a picture of that. And it was an "upgrade from the last owners" Trying to match the counters ? Im not quite sure. It matched my husbands axles on his race car though.
It's crazy to see how big of a difference painting makes. After I started doing the minor things it gave my husband the ambition to really change our home.
With it being winter and the race car in good condition; we bust out new projects!
Not even the same house! We love metal design, my husband is really creative and loves to fabricate. We still have a little more on our kitchen; but for now I couldn't be more grateful for what we have.
❤️❤️❤️
