This bed.
When I first moved into cases house his mattress was on the floor. My bed was a queen and that was a no go for two people.
He was given a solid oak king size bed long before but never had the time to work on it. It's been attempted but didn't get very far the first time. I decided it was going to be my first project for the home.
The bed was already apart in pieces so I would grab a little at a time, sand them all down and prep for paint.

Pretty sure my favorite color is black. Or I just love cool tones.
The finished product was so worth all of this hard work. When we put the bed back together we didn't add all of the pieces. It had a vanity thing where a head board would be which would add a nice touch to my 70's style home but I decided to change it.

Itching for wheeling
With all the home projects and wedding planning we have not been able to go wheeling in what seems like forever.! When you have that one favorite pass time where it doesn't matter what you look like where your at and sometimes what's going on around you, your mind is able to be released and trail off. That's me in our buggy.
Engagements, embrace the rain
Case and I got engaged November of '14. We knew we wanted a summer wedding so we had some time to plan. We scheduled our engagements for May, to get through the winter and have some color in our photos.
We seemed to have planned everything in the weirdest unpredictable year of weather. Utah is Utah so I'm not to surprised, but I thought we would be good in May for engagements. Every day the week of I checked the weather, RAIN! No this is not happening! I just want everything to be perfect.

home project
My now husband bought our house before we were dating. It was built in 1976 and definitely showed 70's style. From bright orange walls to porn star yellow counter tops. It was ew.
I had to borrow some before photos from a real estate website found from google.
Anyways I instantly got the craftiness itch and began slowly changing the look of the house.
I started with minor things, like painting, drywall repair, dishwasher and disposal. You get the idea. Im not joking when I say we had a BRIGHT ORANGE WALL. Of course the realtor did not take a picture of that. And it was an "upgrade from the last owners" Trying to match the counters ? Im not quite sure. It matched my husbands axles on his race car though.
It's crazy to see how big of a difference painting makes. After I started doing the minor things it gave my husband the ambition to really change our home.
With it being winter and the race car in good condition; we bust out new projects!
